Both long and short positions are being liquidated; it's better to lighten up leverage. It's rare to see ten billion dollars liquidated in 24 hours. This is why I trade contracts, setting one position while holding spot without worry.
This is why I trade contracts and set a stop loss; at least when a black swan event happens, I still have capital left on the table. Holding spot positions means no worries; time is my friend!
