The public chain battle is about to begin again—in December you can see:

Fantom Sonic mainnet is about to launch;

Avalanche9000 mainnet will go live on December 16;

Aptos data growth + institutional adoption + ETP;

Stacks will introduce sBTC after the Nakamoto upgrade to gain more adoption, etc.

Most of the surviving old public chains are starting to seize the good market and find ways to create events. We should see a new round of Layer 1 battles in December and the first quarter of next year.

Don't forget that this public chain battle has a brand new participant: HyperLiquid. From my perspective, the $HYPE vehicle is not as heavy as we imagined, and there are relatively few participants/holders in the Chinese community (especially compared to $ACT and $PNUT). In the future, $HYPE is expected to have more listings.

I think the ones mentioned above are pretty good, and their common point is "willing to release expectations to drive prices" (my favorite among the old public chains is Fantom). I will write another article to introduce the updates of Fantom and Avalanche.

In addition to Layer 1, I will pay attention to these two chains, $METIS and Base, in Ethereum Layer 2. You can check out this project @ScoreMilk on Metis, which is the reason I focus on Metis.

Lastly, a word about Base, its tone is very special; when participating, try not to focus on whether its concept is good, but rather whether it meets the needs of Coinbase Cabal. Otherwise, even if the concept is good, there is a high probability it will just be a flash in the pan.
