Foresight News reports that the trading volume of the top five cryptocurrency exchanges in South Korea exceeded $34 billion in spot trading within the last 24 hours, setting a new historical high. During this period, the President of South Korea announced a state of emergency that lasted for six hours. According to data from CoinMarketCap, the total cryptocurrency trading volume on South Korean exchanges Upbit, Bithumb, Coinone, Korbit, and Gopax reached $34.2 billion, with Upbit’s trading volume soaring to $27.25 billion, which is double the $18 billion recorded on December 2nd. The $18 billion trading volume has surpassed the daily trading volume of the South Korean stock market on that day.
