At the same time, the official also mentioned the Ginger upgrade plan, which will immediately increase Celestia's data availability throughput by 2 times, by reducing the block time from 12 seconds to 6 seconds. In addition, the Ginger upgrade also includes increasing the block size to a maximum of 8MB every 6 seconds, equivalent to a data throughput of 1.33MB/s. Regarding the preparation of the mainnet, the official said that it is expected to launch the Ginger upgrade on the mainnet in December, which means that preparations for the mainnet are underway to ensure that the mainnet can run smoothly in January.
