PANews reported on December 3 that the Web3 security team ScamSniffer stated that phishing attacks in Web3 in November resulted in approximately $9.3 million in losses, with a total of 9,208 victims. The largest single loss was the theft of stETH assets worth $661,000. Additionally, phishing attacks also involved the theft of $409,000 in WBTC, $344,000 in FET, and $220,000 in USDT. The primary method was malicious signature attacks.

Although the loss amount in November decreased compared to October ($20 million) and September ($45.8 million), the number of victims remains high. The report also noted that after the Inferno Drainer team exited, the Angel Drainer took over the relevant projects, and phishing threats continue to evolve.

ScamSniffer advises users: Do not rush to sign transactions; verify all signature requests; use anti-phishing tools and enhanced security wallets; operate with caution, as a single erroneous signature may lead to asset depletion.
