According to data from the DePINscan official website, Roam has officially become the project with the highest number of hardware nodes worldwide. With the innovative technology integration of DID+VC under the OpenRoaming™ framework and a business model that allows users to use it for free, Roam has currently grown to be one of the leading projects with the largest user base in the DePIN field.
As the only Web3 IDP project in the Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) OpenRoaming™ program, Roam has over 4 million OpenRoaming™ WiFi nodes across more than 190 countries, as well as 890,000 self-built WiFi nodes. Registered users have surpassed 1.55 million.
Roam is committed to building an open global wireless network and promoting the implementation of the Telecom Data Layer in the DePIN ecosystem. The new product Roam eSIM solves the issue of changing cards and, based on user needs, provides not only Global eSIM and Add-on eSIM services but also allows users to check in at WiFi hotspots within the app to receive eSIM data for free. The eSIM solution has led to a rapid increase in Roam users from 750,000 in October to 1.5 million.
Additionally, one of the key modules in the Roam ecosystem—Roam Growth—will soon launch a major update focused on creating more sustainable income opportunities for network builders.
