Odaily Planet Daily reports that Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong posted on X: "We have made it clear to all the law firms we work with that if they hire anyone who has committed atrocities against the crypto industry in (the soon-to-be) former government, we will no longer be their client. The senior partners at these law firms seem unaware of the industry's stance on this. For example, Milbank recently messed up by hiring former SEC enforcement director Gurbir Grewal. We are no longer working with them (and will never work with them while Grewal is in office). In my view, trying to illegally suffocate an industry while refusing to publish clear rules is an immoral act. If you are a senior official there, you cannot say you are just following orders. They can choose to leave the SEC; many well-meaning people have chosen to leave. This is not a normal SEC term. They can work in other fields (I do not believe in permanently banning personnel), but as an industry, we should not put money into their pockets after enduring devastation. Let your law firms know that hiring these people means losing you as a client."
