Shibarium is preparing for a key hard fork after an emergency bridge update

On November 30, the developer of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, $SHIB Kaal Dhairya, confirmed the completion of significant maintenance work on the Shibarium bridge. This update temporarily put the bridge into maintenance mode to address security issues and prepare for upcoming changes. Dhairya assured users that their funds would remain safe during the process.$XRP $DOGE

The bridge provides seamless and secure token transfers between Ethereum and Shibarium. During maintenance, token burning was temporarily paused, but burning amounts continued to accumulate in the background. After the security update was completed, the bridge is fully operational again.

Dhairya confirmed that while the bridge is functioning, the upgrade of the burning contract is still ongoing. These improvements will continue over the weekend and into next week.
