According to Odaily, former CFTC Chairman Chris Giancarlo recently shared his insights on the ongoing lawsuit filed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) against Ripple concerning the issuance of XRP. The SEC has accused Ripple of violating securities laws with its issuance of XRP. A federal court has ruled that some aspects of the issuance meet the criteria for securities, while others do not.

Giancarlo suggested that the SEC should reconsider its approach, especially in light of recent legal outcomes and the potential for changes in the regulatory landscape. When asked whether the SEC might drop its lawsuit against Ripple, Giancarlo expressed his belief that they should and predicted that they likely will.
