The French luxury department store Printemps has become the first major retailer in Europe to accept cryptocurrency payments. Now customers at 20 Printemps stores in France will be able to purchase fashionable clothing, accessories, and other luxury items with cryptocurrency.
According to a blog post from the organization, the implementation of cryptocurrency payments took place as part of a partnership with the French cryptocurrency payment company Lyzi, which, in turn, uses the payment solution Binance Pay.
Printemps stated that the introduction of cryptocurrency payments in its stores "will allow more than 6.5 million French cryptocurrency users to take advantage of new payment options thanks to the latest Web3 solutions. This will also enhance the shopping experience for other customers by providing functionality that ensures fast, secure, and simple payments."
