Binance has announced the delisting of Gifto (GFT) and other tokens, such as IRIS, KEY, OAX, and REN, effective December 10, 2024. The decision was made after a periodic review, in which the exchange assessed aspects such as security, trading volume, development quality, and adherence to security and compliance standards. Although there was no explicit mention of a specific security flaw in Binance’s official statement, questions were raised about the integrity and performance of these projects.
The delisting caused a significant drop in the tokens’ prices, which reflects a negative impact on the market. In addition, Binance stressed that deposits of these tokens will no longer be accepted after December 11, and withdrawals will be suspended on February 12, 2025.
If you hold GFT or other affected tokens, it is recommended to make adjustments to your wallet before the cutoff dates to avoid losses. If there are specific details about vulnerabilities in GFT, the information may be clarified by the token team or Binance itself in future announcements.
