Today, November 29, Binance, one of the world's largest crypto exchanges, announced the delisting of three trading pairs on its Futures section. This is the latest move by Binance to regulate trading pairs that are no longer attracting enough interest from users.
List of delisted trading pairs:
XEM / USDT
ORBS / USDT
LOOM / USDT
Implementation time and related changes
Binance Futures has also announced that it will conduct automatic position closing and settlement for USDⓈ-M Futures contracts of the above 3 trading pairs (XEM/USDT, ORBS/USDT, LOOM/USDT) starting from 16:00 on December 9, 2024 (UTC).
Effects on Arbitrage Strategy
At the same time, Binance Funding Rate Arbitrage Bot will close all arbitrage strategies and automatically liquidate related Futures contracts. After delisting, users will not be able to open new Arbitrage strategies for these trading pairs.
Recommendation from Binance Futures
Binance Futures recommends that users close all positions before 15:30, 09/12/2024 (UTC) to avoid the risk of automatic settlement causing loss of assets. After this time, users will no longer be able to open new positions for the above Futures contracts.
User protection measures
To protect users and mitigate potential risks amid the volatile crypto market, Binance Futures may apply additional protection measures to the mentioned contracts without prior notice. These measures may include adjusting the maximum leverage value, position value, Funding Rate updates, etc.
Note: Users need to closely follow announcements from Binance to be able to grasp the latest changes and make reasonable trading decisions.
