Abdellatif Jouahri, governor of the Central Bank of Morocco, revealed on Tuesday (November 26) that all cryptocurrencies will be legalized and a draft law on cryptocurrency regulation has been prepared. This means that Morocco will lift the 2017 ban on digital assets.
Reuters reported that Morocco has banned the use of cryptocurrencies since 2017, but CoinTelegraph pointed out that it turns out that a large part of the country still holds digital assets. Jouahri said at an international conference in Rabat that the Central Bank of Morocco "has prepared a draft law to regulate crypto assets and is currently passing it."
