This growth positions centralized exchanges' monthly trading volume to potentially set an annual record high. Continuing a 14-month upward trend, the total market capitalization of stablecoins increased by 9.94% in November, reaching $190 billion, a historic high. Despite this growth, the market share of stablecoins decreased from 7.22% in October to 5.54% as investors and traders diversified their investments into Bitcoin and altcoins. Tether's USDT continues to perform strongly, with a market capitalization increase of 10.5% to $133 billion, capturing 69.9% of the entire market, followed by Circle's USDC, which saw its market capitalization grow by 12.1% to $38.9 billion in November, the highest level since February 2023.
