Tether will invest 5 billion USD in the commodities market

Tether has announced plans to invest 5 billion USD in the commodities market, amid the company's recent issuance of a total of 5 billion USD in stablecoin USDT. The issuance of USDT by Tether began in early November, with successive minting rounds of 1 billion USD on November 6, followed by 2 billion USD on November 9 and 10, and finally another 2 billion USD, completed within five days. This amount of USDT not only strengthens Tether's position in the stablecoin market but also reflects the increased liquidity demand in the context of Bitcoin reaching recent record prices.

Investing in the commodities market could help Tether diversify its investment portfolio and enhance the role of stablecoin in various types of transactions. The commodities market has seen significant fluctuations and holds great potential for future growth, especially as investment from a major player like Tether promises to attract more attention from other investors.
