Flashbots, an Ethereum infrastructure service, has recently launched a decentralized Ethereum block construction network called BuilderNet. This network operates on the Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) and shares MEV (Maximum Extractable Value) with the community. The primary goal of BuilderNet is to eliminate exclusive order flow deals, improve Ethereum’s censorship resistance, and speed up the decentralization of the Rollup and application layers.
In its first version, BuilderNet is operated by Flashbots, Beaverbuild, and Nethermind. In the future, BuilderNet will also serve as a plug-and-play solution to provide decentralized sorting functionality for Layer 2 through Rollup-Boost.
