PANews November 26 news, according to Cointelegraph, Bitcoin financial services company Swan Bitcoin has filed a lawsuit against its current law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, due to the firm hiring a lawyer who represents stablecoin issuer and competitor cryptocurrency company Tether.

On November 22, Swan officially sued Gibson in California Superior Court, accusing it of legal practice violations. Swan claims that Gibson had 'actively sought and successfully gained Swan's trust', promising to represent Swan against 'former partner turned competitor' Tether, but then Gibson 'accepted Tether as a new client and informed Swan that it would no longer provide services for them.' Swan also revealed that a lawyer from Gibson had called the company's CEO Cory Klippsten, warning that due to the firm's decision to hire lawyer Barry Berke who represents Tether, there could be a conflict of interest, and therefore Swan needed to seek legal representation elsewhere.

Previously, while serving as Swan's legal advisor, Gibson had sued a group of former employees, accusing them of stealing software code to establish a cryptocurrency mining company named Proton Management.
