The US Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) long-running lawsuit against XRP creator Ripple Labs is likely to be dropped.

Trump wants to make America the “crypto capital of the planet,” which will undoubtedly involve a more encouraging regulatory environment. The next SEC chairman will be much more industry-friendly than Gensler.
As a result, the price of XRP has skyrocketed in the past 24 hours, rising 24% after being suppressed for years by the ongoing lawsuit.
“Gary Gensler’s anti-digital asset reign at the SEC will officially end in January. This is good news for the digital asset industry. I am hopeful that the next SEC Chair will follow the law and not try to thwart financial innovation,” U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis wrote in X.
Meanwhile, pro-XRP advocate John E Deaton noted that “times they are a-changin’” and predicted that XRP will soon reach a market cap of $100 billion.
At the time of writing, XRP is worth $80 billion, making it the sixth-largest cryptocurrency.
Traders predict new XRP ATH
In July, market commentator Dubsy made the disturbing observation that if you had invested $10,000 in XRP in September 2018, you would still have the same amount of money.
