A select group of forty agents from the Federal Police and Civil Police from all over Brazil are participating in the second edition of the Financial Investigation and Asset Analysis Course, this time, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum have taken center stage.
This initiative aims to improve professionals' skills in identifying and tracking illicit resources, thus boosting asset recovery and efficiency in criminal investigations.

During the 80 academic hours of training, participants receive instruction in several key areas. In addition, highlights include the analysis of financial intelligence reports, the investigation of cryptocurrencies and the use of advanced blockchain technology tools, such as the analysis of links between addresses and the management of document chains of custody.

These skills are essential to more effectively combat financial crimes such as corruption and money laundering, which are fundamental pillars of organized crime.
In addition, the course includes practical simulations based on real cases. This element allows agents to apply the knowledge acquired in concrete scenarios and improve their investigation strategies. The training is organized by the Directorate of Integrated Operations and Intelligence (Diopi). All under the National Secretariat of Public Security (Senasp) of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security.
However, the program goes beyond pursuing criminals, focusing on dismantling illicit structures and weakening organized crime. With advanced technology and methodologies, it strengthens agents and public security forces.
