According to TechFlow news on November 22, MetaMask announced the launch of the Gas Station feature, allowing users to exchange tokens without holding ETH to pay gas fees. This feature has been opened to MetaMask browser extension users on the Ethereum mainnet, and a mobile version will be launched soon.
The Gas Station feature solves the time-consuming step of users needing to purchase ETH on centralized exchanges and transfer it to a chain wallet by directly integrating network fees into exchange quotes. This feature is supported by MetaMask's smart trading system, which can optimize gas usage and ensure reliable execution of transactions.
Currently supported tokens include mainstream tokens such as USDT, USDC, DAI, ETH, wETH, and wBTC.
