According to TechFlow, on November 20, Fortune reported that President-elect Trump went to Boca Chica, Texas, on November 19 to watch the sixth test flight of the SpaceX Starship rocket with Musk. In this launch, the reusable booster failed to return to the launch pad as in the test last month, but was guided to land in the Gulf of Mexico.
Musk invested about $200 million in support of Trump during the election, and after his election, he gained unprecedented access to the administration, advising on government picks and co-chairing an advisory panel on streamlining federal agencies. In the past two weeks, Musk has frequently appeared around Trump, from meeting with House Republicans in Washington to watching UFC matches in New York.
Trump praised Musk at a black-tie event at Mar-a-Lago as "extremely intelligent" and "a real good guy," saying "he loves it here, and I can't get him out." Trump's granddaughter Kai Trump posted a photo with Musk on social media, saying he has reached "uncle status."
