Brian Armstrong, CEO of U.S.-based cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, will meet with Donald Trump as the president-elect continues to announce staff picks for his administration and heads of government departments.
According to a Nov. 18 report from the Wall Street Journal, Trump planned to meet privately with Armstrong to discuss the staffing appointments. The Coinbase CEO does not appear to have donated directly to the Republicanilitis 2024 campaign or to political action committees (PACs) that directly support him, but said ahead of the U.S. election that the crypto exchange would be prepared to work with a Trump administration.
Coinbase and Armstrong also contributed about $46 million to the Fairshake PAC to support 2024 candidates the committee deemed supportive of crypto policies, many of whom won their primaries and races. The exchange has already donated $25 million to the PAC to help “elect pro-crypto candidates” in the 2026 US midterms.#BecomeCreator #TopCoinsSeptember #MarketDownturn #BecomeCreator
