CoinVoice has recently learned that the Fantom on-chain lending project polterfinance has left a message on the chain to the hacker saying: "If the funds can be returned in time, we are willing to negotiate and will not take legal action. Please send the funds to the corresponding address on the Fantom chain (starting with 0x6cA0). If you need further communication, please reply to this latest information."

As previously reported, polterfinance reported that it had been attacked on the Fantom chain and more than $7 million in crypto assets had been stolen. The attacker initially obtained funds on Ethereum through Tornado Cash, and the funds were later bridged to Fantom.

The team has taken the following immediate actions: the platform has been suspended to control the vulnerability; the wallet involved has been traced to Binance; and the vulnerability is being actively investigated. [Original link]
