He also hosted executives of crypto mining companies at his Mar-a-Lago estate and vowed to reduce the sentence of Ross Ulbricht, who was sentenced to life imprisonment for operating the dark web market Silk Road, which was designed to ensure anonymity and only allows access through Tor and uses Bitcoin as the transaction medium.
Zachary Bradford, co-founder of Bitcoin miner Cleanspark, described Trump's speech as a "historic moment." Trump mentioned mining several times and said that "the United States will become the undisputed Bitcoin mining power in the world."
