This large-scale destruction plan (BURNmas) will start at 12:01 am UTC on November 15 and end at 12:01 am UTC on December 24. BONK core contributor @iamkadense posted on X: "7.7 trillion BONKs have been destroyed, and the daily destruction volume is still increasing. In addition to the 100 billion BONKs destroyed recently, another 1 trillion BONKs will be destroyed at BONKmas, and the community may not stop there." These destroyed tokens will come from applications in the Solana ecosystem that use BONK to implement one or more functions. According to the official post, these include the destruction of bets placed on Dragontail, Christmas cards sent using BONKmark, transactions on LiveBonk, and other applications specified by BONK's X account.
