Tether, creator of the giant stablecoin USDT, has come out publicly in a letter sent to a key US legislative committee revealing its cooperative ties with the US Secret Service and FBI. This announcement comes shortly after Tether's latest action, which implemented a wallet freeze policy aimed at individuals on the US Special Citizens list.
These letters addressed to the US House of Representatives Financial Services Committee and the US Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs highlight Tether's full commitment to safeguarding and maintaining the security of transaction activities by actively collaborating with legal authorities. This letter from Tether's CEO also explains the methods used to prevent individuals from exploiting USDT. They stated that they had successfully frozen 326 Wallets and held more than 435 million USDT.
