According to BlockBeats, on November 16, according to the revised court documents filed on November 14, Musk claimed that he had rejected OpenAI's initial coin offering (ICO) plan in 2018.

Musk and his legal team claimed that OpenAI's two founders, Sam Altman and Greg Brockman, had thought about launching tokens in early 2018 to help the company make money. But at the time, Musk said, "This would only lead to a significant reduction in the credibility of OpenAI and everyone associated with the ICO."

Musk subsequently left OpenAI in February 2018 and eventually founded his own artificial intelligence company xAI. The Worldcoin project supported by Sam Altman launched its own crypto token WLD in July 2023 (officially OpenAI has nothing to do with Worldcoin).

BlockBeats previously reported that Musk sued OpenAI and its executives Altman and Brockman in August, accusing them of fraud, violation of the federal (Anti-Racketeering and Corrupt Organizations Act), unfair competition, etc.
