Indian police have arrested a suspect in connection with the high-profile hack of crypto exchange WazirX. 🚔

Almost four months after the incident that resulted in the loss of more than $230 million, Masood Alam has been arrested. He allegedly created an account under a pseudonym and sold it to an accomplice, who used it to attack cryptocurrency storage systems.

Investigators in Delhi continue to sort out the complex chain of transactions, having confiscated three laptops to find out how security systems were bypassed. 🕵️‍♂️

While WazirX is actively cooperating by providing important data, cryptocurrency custody provider Liminal Custody is under criticism for its lack of transparency. Some analysts suggest that North Korean hackers may be behind the attack.
