Hamster Kombat Loses 86% of Users as Paws Mini App Soars.
Once Telegram's top earning game, Hamster Kombat has seen a sharp decline in users and engagement due to political backlash, bans and new competition.
Hamster Kombat had 300 million users in August, but as of November 5, the game only had 41 million monthly active players—an 86% decrease.
Meanwhile, Paws, a recently launched mini-app on Telegram, has gained traction, reaching 20.5 million users in its first eight days, surpassing Hamster Kombat's growth trajectory.
According to data from IntoTheBlock (ITB), active Hamster Kombat addresses peaked at 772,330 on September 27. Since then, user activity and interest in the tokens has declined, falling by more than 36% in the past week.
