$ETH
Congratulations to the big pancake for reaching a new high, 80,000 is just around the corner❗
Can Ethereum return to 4000? Currently, there are two major speculative expectations👀
1. Stakable Ethereum ETF. If approved, users can expect to benefit from the price increase and also earn profits in the form of Ethereum, significantly increasing inflow of funds.
2. The Prague upgrade in the first quarter of 2025 has already begun to heat up, combined with Vitalik starting to make appearances to bring Ethereum back into the public eye, as Ethereum is the technical foundation of the crypto world.
So what is included in the Prague upgrade❓
The execution layer upgrade is mainly the Prague upgrade, while the protocol layer upgrade is the Electra upgrade (named after a constellation).
The Prague upgrade does not have a prominent main goal but focuses on multiple technical improvements and optimizations, aimed at enhancing the functionality, security, and efficiency of the Ethereum network.
Key Proposal: EIP-3074 is a key proposal in the Prague upgrade that allows EOA (Ethereum Address) to have smart contract functionality, providing users with more operational flexibility. For example, DApp project parties can cover gas fees for users, and the authorization and trading operations on DEX platforms can be completed in a merged manner. Users can also set special caller contracts to recover lost assets.
Technical Improvements: The Prague upgrade also includes other technical improvements, such as improving the efficiency of the Casper FFG client by reducing the average number of pairings required for verification of consensus rules. Additionally, the upgrade defines a general framework for storing and processing requests triggered by smart contracts.
Testing and Deployment: The testing network for the Prague upgrade has gone through several phases to ensure everything runs smoothly before going live on the main network. The upgrade is expected to take place on the testing network in the second half of the year, with hopes of successfully deploying it to the main network before the end of the year. However, the specific completion time for the upgrade will depend on Ethereum's development progress.
A highlight here is that private keys can assist in recovery, significantly reducing the loss of on-chain assets. Additionally, merging transactions and authorizations will reduce fees and also minimize the risk of positional authorizations, leading to more people accepting and using on-chain wallets, which will contribute to the prosperity of blockchain.
