On November 8, PANews reported that the Shenzhen Branch of the People's Bank of China launched a visual hard wallet for digital renminbi at the 18th Shenzhen International Financial Expo. The wallet is only 1 millimeter thick, equipped with an ink screen and dynamic QR code function, supporting NFC and scan payments, expanding applicable scenarios, and making it convenient for users to check balances and transaction records, especially suitable for seniors, students, and foreign nationals.
The released hard wallet includes seven Shenzhen-themed cards from Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Postal Savings Bank of China, Bank of Communications, and China Merchants Bank. The Shenzhen branch has also enhanced card issuance convenience through 34 self-service card issuance machines and expanded various top-up methods, such as foreign currency and overseas credit card top-ups.
