CoinVoice has recently learned that according to The Block, Vinay Gupta, a technical expert who helped coordinate the launch of Ethereum, said that he is seeking to promote sensible encryption policies to President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team.
Additionally, inspired in part by Trump’s landslide victory on Election Day, Gupta is considering relocating himself and the team at his UK-based blockchain company Mattereum to the U.S. “We plan to move people (including me) to Washington, D.C. soon to help with the cryptocurrency transition in the U.S.,” he added.
Vinay Gupta said part of his plan includes replicating some of the policies he helped develop in the UK, including a recently introduced parliamentary bill that seeks to formally define crypto assets as property and a successful push to have smart contracts recognized as “actual contracts” in the country.
