Golden Finance reports that the preliminary results of the U.S. election exit polls conducted by Edison Research show that 71% of voters are white, an increase from 67% in the 2020 exit polls; 11% are Black, down from 13% in 2020; 12% are Hispanic, down from 13% in 2020. 57% of voters do not have a college degree, compared to 59% in the 2020 exit polls. 45% of voters say their personal financial situation is worse than four years ago, while in the 2020 exit polls this percentage was 20%. 39% of voters believe that most undocumented immigrants should be deported, while 57% support allowing them to apply for legal status. 32% of voters think that U.S. support for Israel is too strong; 31% think the support is not strong enough; 31% think the support is moderate. 51% of voters say they trust Harris more on abortion issues, while 44% trust Trump. 51% of voters say they trust Trump more on economic issues, while 47% trust Harris. 73% of voters say democracy is threatened, while 25% believe democracy is secure. 44% of voters have a positive view of Trump, while in the 2020 exit polls this percentage was 46%. 48% of voters have a positive view of Harris, while in the 2020 polls Biden was at 52%.
