Today, I want to share my thoughts on US politics based on what I see on YouTube. Much of this may be a result of the influence of political bloggers and agitators, and I would be glad to hear your opinion in the comments. I highlight three main issues that, in my opinion, America faces today:
1. Drug Crisis: Zombie Apocalypse
Looking at the issue of drug use in the USA, especially in places like the Kensington neighborhood in Philadelphia, it is impossible not to be horrified. This part of the city has become notorious as the drug epidemic there has reached shocking proportions. Many compare it to a zombie apocalypse: people in extreme addiction seem to have lost touch with reality. Over the decades, despite numerous anti-drug programs, the problem has not only persisted but has escalated. This underscores the lack of effective measures, available resources, and support for those struggling with addiction.
2. Intervention in the Politics of Other Countries
US intervention in the politics of other countries is often perceived as part of a global strategy, but this phenomenon has its consequences. America is developing its economy, actively taking positions on the international stage, which, on one hand, ensures its stability but, on the other, creates conflicts and tension in international relations. Without further growth, it will be difficult for its economy to maintain the current standard of living, so the USA invests in and supports new markets, sometimes intervening in their politics.
3. Gender Agenda
The issue of gender has become an important part of the American agenda, and for many, it poses a serious challenge to established norms. The idea that people have a gender they can choose is changing many entrenched views and provoking conflicting responses both within the USA and beyond. Transitions, gender diversity, and growing tolerance for the LGBTQ+ community have become part of the public agenda, sparking debates in a society where not everyone is ready to accept such rapid changes. Ultimately, gender politics appear as a tense confrontation and sometimes even as a radical movement.
This is just an outsider's perspective, which may be limited by what I see and hear on the Internet. If you believe there is an alternative viewpoint, please share it in the comments.
