Ripple is preparing for the largest XRP sale in seven years
November has arrived, and Ripple has given the market a "surprise," preparing for the largest monthly sale in seven years.
As the core developer and largest holder of XRP Ledger, Ripple has reserved 470 million XRP for sale, valued at $240 million based on the current price ($0.512).
Since 2017, Ripple has unlocked 1 billion XRP every month and reserved a portion—usually 200 million—for sale.
However, this November, Ripple unlocked 1 billion but reserved more than double the usual amount for the sale activity for the first time.
The custody of this month ended in Ripple (24) and Ripple (25) accounts, and as usual, each account unlocked 500 million XRP. Ripple (25) has, as usual, locked all these XRP back in custody in Ripple (12) and Ripple (13) accounts until 2028.
However, Ripple (24) only re-locked 30 million XRP in the Ripple (12) account, unprecedentedly transferring 470 million XRP to the Ripple (1) account.
This account has been used for monthly sales for many years.
It is worth mentioning that Ripple's previous largest sale occurred in June, when 200 million XRP was reserved, and an additional 200 million was added from the idle account Ripple (35), which I reported on earlier at Finbold.
That large-scale and unprecedented sale ended on June 20, and I also reported it, selling a total of 400 million XRP.
So far this year, XRP has dropped by 18.70% cumulatively.
Interestingly, Ripple has sold 2.576 billion XRP in 2024. The months with the largest sales to date are June (400 million), September (350 million), and July (300 million).
However, in these previous months, Ripple only reserved the usual 200 million XRP from custody unlocks.
What do you think will happen next?
Recently, I planned to ambush a potential coin that is ready to explode, doubling it should be quite simple, and I am also looking for some potential coins to hold until the end of the year, expecting a growth of over 10 times is not a problem, if you want to keep up, follow, and share for free.
