United States grocery chain Sheetz has expanded its partnership with crypto payment provider Flexa, allowing payments with digital currency at more than 750 stores in the U.S.

Sheetz customers will now be able to pay with stablecoins like USD Coin (USDC) and other popular cryptocurrencies. Flexa offers solutions that allow businesses to accept digital asset payments.

This expanded partnership reflects the growing demand for alternative payment methods like cryptocurrencies. Flexa co-founder Trevor Filter noted that the demand for stablecoins is increasing.

Sheetz became one of the first major chains in the U.S. to support crypto payments. This integration allows customers to pay with crypto assets like Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), and USDC.

Sheetz began accepting crypto payments in 2021 with Bitcoin payments. This expansion, through Flexa, includes crypto payments in stores and at gas pumps.
