#ETH. Ethereum is an open source, public and decentralized blockchain technology platform that allows running decentralized applications (Dapps) on its platform. Ethereum's Blockchain network is a supercomputer system (server) with hundreds of thousands of connected devices globally that work to maintain its computing state.

To make it easier to imagine, instead of using a large server system like Google (a centralized system), Ethereum allows application software to run on a network of personal computers (a decentralized system). The carriers and servers are replaced by a vast decentralized network of many small personal computers run by volunteer users around the world.

The big idea behind this project is that anyone can use the new decentralized network to create and operate decentralized applications. There is no need to seek permission or register with another third party because essentially there will be no other intermediaries
