A 25-year-old man from Japan, Ryuki Hayashi, was found guilty of creating a computer virus using generative artificial intelligence. The Tokyo District Court's ruling showed that he was sentenced to three years in prison, with a four-year suspension. Prosecutors had sought a four-year prison sentence.
