There are too many people optimistic about Ethereum; the whales must shake you off the car before it can soar.
In 2013, Vitalik Buterin proposed the idea of creating a programmable blockchain platform and officially launched Ethereum in 2015. Despite experiencing the DAO incident and market fluctuations, Ethereum has maintained its leadership position in the blockchain field, firmly sitting in second place.
However, why is Ethereum, once the center of attention, now facing skepticism?
Especially now, although the Ethereum network is constantly expanding and upgrading, its price performance has been mediocre, with ETH's increase only 14% from the beginning of the year. Some believe that Ethereum's halt in mining has weakened the vitality of its ecosystem, while others point to the rise of the 'Ethereum killer' SOL. However, I believe these short-term phenomena do not change Ethereum's long-term potential.
Reasons to be optimistic about Ethereum in the long term:
The L2 network has reduced the demand for ETH in the short term, but it also provides better solutions for the scalability of the Ethereum mainnet. Ethereum is not just a trading platform; it is a massive ecosystem— even if the L2 network solves the transaction efficiency issue, the ultimate security still relies on the Ethereum mainnet.
Market data shows that although Ethereum's price is volatile, its market capitalization still stands at $289.327 billion, occupying a key position in the crypto market. This proves the foundation of Ethereum in this ecosystem.
Ethereum is expected to rise by $4000 in the future.
In the last bull market, Ethereum rose from $85 to $4880; even in this current bull market, it could potentially break through again, conservatively estimated. As a pioneer of Web3, Ethereum's future is undoubtedly full of immense potential.
I firmly believe that Ethereum will continue to move forward steadily, leading the entire industry towards a more prosperous future. What we need is not short-sightedness but a long-term vision to embrace future challenges and opportunities.
Remember: Bowing low is only to climb higher; one day, we will reach the top and overlook all the mountains.
