Network Activity Up 500% With Launch of Enhanced Web3 Privacy Tools
TL;DR
COTI network activity shows strong growth with testnet transactions up 500%
Python SDK downloads increase 159% as developer adoption increases
New coti-ethers package (1.0.1b) brings seamless privacy features to browser interactions
String operations now supported across TypeScript and Python SDKs
Enhanced cross-chain capabilities under development
COTI’s network metrics showcase significant growth across our development infrastructure, with testnet activity increasing 500% since launch as developers build and test private smart contracts.
On the technical front, we’ve enhanced our SDK capabilities to include string operations and launched the coti-ethers package for browser environments, expanding the toolkit for privacy-first applications powered by Garbled Circuits technology.
Let’s dive into both the network performance data and technical advances shaping COTI’s privacy-preserving ecosystem.
COTI Network Metrics Show Sustained Growth in Smart Contract Deployment
The latest data reveals significant traction across both our development and test networks. There has been a surge in testnet transactions, up 500% compared to previous periods, providing validation of our network’s ability to handle increased load. This growth spans both simple transactions and complex smart contract interactions, demonstrating the versatility of COTI’s privacy features for different uses.
Smart contract deployments also show particular strength. There is a 15% increase in devnet deployments alongside a 20% rise in testnet activity signalling growing developer confidence in COTI’s privacy-preserving infrastructure.
In addition, we have seen a 159% increase in Python SDK downloads which reflects growing developer interest in building privacy-preserving applications across different technology stacks. Our multi-language support ensures teams can implement privacy features using their preferred development tools.
These metrics are particularly valuable as we prepare for mainnet, helping us to identify optimization opportunities and validating our approach to scaling privacy-preserving computation. The variety of deployments shows developers are exploring multiple approaches to building privacy features within their applications.
COTI’s New Ethers Integration & SDK Updates Bring Enhanced String Capabilities
Another major milestone for COTI’s developer ecosystem arrived with coti-ethers (1.0.1b). This package integrates privacy-preserving operations directly into the ethers.js library, making COTI’s privacy features accessible through one of the most widely-used Ethereum development tools.
The core SDK updates focus on expanding developers’ ability to work with encrypted string data, a crucial requirement for many privacy-preserving applications. Strings are typically used to store and transmit important data such as passwords, personal identifiable information such as social security numbers, phone numbers etc, and financial information.
Version 1.0.3 of coti-sdk-typescript introduces optimized cryptographic operations, while coti-sdk-python 1.0.2 adds comprehensive support for encrypted string computation on-chain.
These new enhancements enable developers to build applications that handle sensitive text data securely and can run search and comparison operations on encrypted strings. It also allows for data privacy whilst performing complex string manipulations and to deploy applications across multiple languages and platforms
The integration enables developers to:
Sign transactions and interact with privacy features directly in the browser
Streamline user onboarding with simplified network interactions
Work with encrypted string operations for sensitive data handling
Perform complex computations while maintaining data privacy
This deep integration with ethers.js allows developers to add privacy features to existing Ethereum applications with minimal changes to their development workflow. By maintaining compatibility with familiar tools and patterns, we’re reducing the barriers to implementing privacy in Web3 applications.
The Road Ahead
Our development team is now setting its sights on integrating privacy-preserving operations across different blockchain networks, and in preparation for mainnet, continues with extensive load testing. These efforts ensure COTI’s privacy infrastructure will provide the reliability and performance required for production applications.
The growing network metrics and developer activity demonstrate increasing momentum in COTI’s privacy-preserving ecosystem. With each update, we’re making it easier for developers to build applications that protect user privacy while maintaining the benefits of blockchain technology.
