Odaily Planet Daily reported that the blockchain company Consensys has sent an open letter to the future President of the United States, requesting clear and supportive regulations for cryptocurrency and Web3. The letter emphasizes that regulatory decisions need to be transparent to keep the U.S. competitive globally while addressing consumer protection and illegal activities. It argues that the uncertainty in U.S. regulation hinders the development of blockchain technology. The company points out that despite the global adoption of decentralized platforms, there is a lack of a comprehensive framework. Consensys states that this gap in regulatory guidance leads to inconsistent enforcement actions and hampers innovation for businesses and developers. Consensys had filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on September 19 this year, but it was dismissed by a federal judge in Texas, after which the company called for regulatory clarity.
