According to Odaily, Pop Punk, co-founder of Web3 security and transparency platform g8keep, announced on X that he became the first person to lose money due to a phishing attack on ApeChain. Screenshots shared by Pop Punk show that the pop-punk.ape address transferred about 145,841 APE, equivalent to about $110,000, to an address labeled Fake_Phishing381 after ApeChain went live.
