According to TechFlow, on October 18, Craig Wright launched a new legal action, claiming that Bitcoin developers have deviated from the original vision of the project and insisting that Bitcoin SV is the real Bitcoin. The lawsuit requires the defendant to compensate for the market valuation difference between the two coins, which exceeds $1.18 billion. Wright previously claimed to be Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin, but ultimately lost the legal dispute. The lawsuit states that the defendant "changed the original Bitcoin protocol" by introducing SegWit and Taproot upgrades, thereby "misleading the public to believe that BTC retains the properties of the original Bitcoin." Companies mentioned in the lawsuit include Bitcoin Core, a Bitcoin node software developer, and Jack Dorsey's Square Up Europe Limited, a payment service company that provides funding for Bitcoin Lightning Network companies.
