The Stacks Foundation confirmed that the Nakamoto Upgrade will be completed on Bitcoin block 867,867, expected on October 29, 2024. This upgrade will enhance interoperability between Stacks and Bitcoin, improve security and system performance, and support the connection of decentralized applications and DeFi features to the Bitcoin network.
