Odaily Planet Daily News Ripple Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty believes that the U.S. Supreme Court's reversal of the Chevron USA Inc. vs. Natural Resources Defense Council case in June 2024 has little impact on the SEC's strategy of pursuing crypto compliance through law enforcement. In an interview, Alderoty emphasized that only changes in leadership will lead to a change in the SEC's posture. "I think that under this leadership, the SEC has caused great institutional damage to this once very respected institution." Alderoty also claimed that the SEC's continued litigation against the crypto industry-including the recent appeal of the Ripple lawsuit-is deliberate and is intended to create confusion among industry participants. "The current SEC, under the current leadership, I don't think they care much about whether they are legally right or wrong. I think their goal is to cast a layer of legal uncertainty over the industry through large-scale enforcement actions-now on appeal." (Cointelegraph)
