According to TechFlow, on October 16, Cointelegraph reported that an investigation revealed that cryptocurrency scams conducted through fake Rabby wallets in February caused users to lose about $1.6 million. The scam app disguised itself as DeBank's Rabby wallet and was removed from the Apple App Store four days after it was launched. Recent investigations have shown that the funds were transferred to a wallet called "Konpyl", which is associated with Konstantin Pylinskiy, CEO of Dubai investment company Moonward Capital, although his direct involvement has not yet been confirmed. The investigation also found that the scam was linked to at least 20 cases, including complex operations to launder funds through DeFi services. Currently, US government agencies are investigating this.
