On September 22, Hong Kong time, ETHGlobal announced the projects that entered the "finals" of the 2024 Singapore ETHGlobal Hackathon. With the successful convening of the TOKEN2049 event, this hackathon was not as deserted as the current market. There were more than 300 participating projects, and finally 10 projects stood out.
Judging from the shortlisted projects, payment has become one of the most important tracks. We may not understand it in China where mobile payment is already well developed, but in other countries and regions where payment infrastructure is not perfect, payment has become one of the important application scenarios for cryptocurrency to land first.
The 2024 ETHGlobal Singapore competition has announced the shortlist. A total of 10 projects stood out from 310 entries. This article will introduce these outstanding projects.
Clarity: Web3 Payment Gateway Protocol
Clarity is a Web3 payment gateway project that targets fake reviews and transaction transparency issues. It combines Sign Protocol and World ID authentication to ensure that every review comes from a real user, not a robot or multiple accounts. It also provides token rewards to actively participate users to encourage them to share real product feedback.
In order to enhance the credibility of merchants, Clarity creates an ENS address for each merchant, allowing users to identify and trust the merchant's information. In addition, Clarity provides a simple smart wallet creation function, and users can log in only through Google.
These measures can create a more trusted payment and review environment for merchants and consumers, thereby reducing the impact of false reviews on business reputation and revenue.
