Swaziland Central Bank Releases Digital Currency Plan! 💰

The Central Bank of the Kingdom of Swaziland recently announced its potential CBDC plan - digital lilangeni. Unlike traditional distributed ledgers, digital lilangeni will run on a distributed database and be hosted through online and hard wallets managed by financial institutions, and can even be used without the Internet.

This CBDC will also have pseudo-anonymous features to ensure user privacy while meeting KYC and anti-money laundering requirements. The programmable function at the wallet level is even more eye-catching, enabling automatic payments and child spending limits.
