I have been studying Tg chain games these days and have read a lot of development engines. The ton native engine 8XR is not very smooth to use, so I gave up decisively after studying it for a few days. There are too few people using overseas niche engines and there are few learning tutorials.

Then I learned about the Phaser engine, which is also difficult to get started with many problems, and the reason is that the relevant tutorials are not perfect.

Finally, the goal was determined to be Unity and Cocos. Unity, needless to say, games such as Honor of Kings are developed with the Unity engine, which is considered a mainstream engine.

Cocos is also a mainstream engine, but its feature is in 2D games. In 2015, the Cocos engine was also a dominant one.

Unity and Cocos mainstream engines are used by many people, and relevant matching tutorials are easy to find. The language is C++ and js. At present, we are still looking for breakthroughs in the two engines.

Of course, on the way to finding a suitable engine, we also found a pure Chinese engine [Huanjing], and some representative games are developed through this engine. However, according to my observations in the past few days, this engine seems to be in a semi-closed state, and can only be used for stand-alone games. There may be some problems with networking.

At this stage, we need to sort out the development framework, development engine, and editing language, which is a very tedious step, because we need to develop from scratch, and it is still difficult to apply templates.

The first goal is to make a game first, and then the second and third ones will be easy. This is a brand new field for me, and there are many unknowns and explorations.

Welcome to the advice of the big guys🤔
