Bitcoins Mined in 2009 Have Begun: Are They Linked to Satoshi?

A former Bitcoin whale has begun transferring $3.6 million worth of BTC mined in 2009 to the exchange.

According to Arkham Intelligence, a former Bitcoin whale has moved $3.6 million worth of Bitcoin to the Kraken exchange.

Blockchain analysis platform Arkham shared on social media platform X on Friday that $72.5 million worth of Bitcoin mined in 2009 has been moved to the exchange:

A whale that owns Bitcoin mined in 2009 and currently worth over $72.5 million has sent $3.58 million worth of Bitcoin to Kraken as of yesterday.

It was emphasized that this Bitcoin was mined in February-March 2009, just a month after Bitcoin was released.

Arkham reported that the same whale sent 5 Bitcoins to Kra,ken on September 24.

The blockchain analysis company said that the last transfers took place on Thursday, October 3, and that on the same day, HBO released a trailer for a new documentary that aims to reveal the identity of Bitcoin's mysterious creator, Satoshi Nakamoto. It was stated that the documentary will be released next Wednesday.

Social media users, who said that Bitcoin was launched in 2009 and that these transactions could have been linked to Satoshi Nakamoto at some point, heated up the claims ahead of the HBO documentary.
